This is a subject I've kept a keen eye on over the last 12 months or so. Are e-cigarettes better for you than traditional tobacco cigarettes, or even better than that, are they completely harmless?

When I gave up smoking last year, I used e-cigarettes as my alternative, assuming they would be a lot better for me & keep my cravings at bay. Having not really heard or seen any concrete evidence to prove the long term effects of these 'medical devices' apart from articles like this one (suggesting links, but not causes from the use) - I'm interested to know if anyone has any information?

My concern is perhaps they are being seen in the same light as traditional cigarettes once were when they first came onto the scene, and we all know how that turned out...
