Making drugs more affordable for third world countries, not just generic drugs, but new medicines, which would mean new patents would not need to be filed for a product allowing patients ground breaking medicine sold as a cheaper generic drug. It's about time that a global company has stepped up!
Over the next few years Biosimilars should also bring the cost of products down significantly, which is a step in the right direction for affordable drugs to the patients that need them.

Britain’s biggest drugmaker said it would not file patents for new medicines in the poorest countries, such as Afghanistan, Rwanda and Cambodia, allowing cheaper generic versions to come on the market without the threat of legal action.
